  • Judy Kirk, ONZM

    Judy Kirk, ONZM, was appointed Chair of the NZ Lotteries board in May 2009. She is an experienced director with a wide knowledge of fundraising and business. She was recently appointed a director of Metservice NZ. Mrs Kirk previously chaired the New Zealand Lottery Grants Board national welfare committee and the Rotorua regional lottery distribution committee for five years. She also served as President of the New Zealand National Party for seven years. Mrs Kirk is a Justice of the Peace, and was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2011 for services to the community.

  • Richard Janes

    Richard Janes is Deputy Chair of the NZ Lotteries board and is an experienced professional company director with appointments in both the private and public sectors. His current appointments include directorships of Centreport Limited, Gallagher Holdings Limited, Indutstrial Research Limited, Real Estate Institute of New Zealand, and Telarc -SAI Limited, and he is Chair of the Electricity and Gas Complaints Commission. Dr Janes has an extensive background in management, especially in business development and international brand marketing. He is an Accredited Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

  • Miranda Burdon

    Miranda Burdon was appointed to the NZ Lotteries Board in October 2010. She is an experienced director with more than 12 years experience in professional governance roles. Miranda has had a successful career in general management, and sales and marketing, for various high profile New Zealand businesses, and was most recently the General Manager of Global Marketing for Pernod Ricard NZ. Miranda has degrees in marketing and international relations. In 1999, she studied at Harvard University (USA) as the recipient of Trade New Zealand export award. She is a current member of the Institute of Directors.

  • Richard Holden

    Christchurch businessman Richard Holden was appointed to the NZ Lotteries Board in January 2010. Richard is Managing Director of a Christchurch-based financial planning firm. He has over 30 years experience in financial services, including front line sales, sales management, regional management and company directorships. He has mentored many successful advisers and managers, and continues to do so. He also has an extensive background in community involvement, including past roles as president of the Marist Rugby Football Club and a member of the general committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union.

  • Tony Mossman

    Tony Mossman was appointed to the NZ Lotteries Board in May 2011. He is a director of Barnes Mossman Limited, a Hawke’s Bay based Chartered Accountancy Firm. Within this role, Tony has a diverse range of both commercial and rural clients, and has a special interest in the agriculture and forestry sectors. Tony holds a degree in marketing and a diploma in accounting from Massey University. He is a CA and is a current member of The Institute of Directors. Prior to being in Public Practice he spent 7 years in Corporate Banking roles in both the UK and New Zealand. A keen advocate of the Hawke’s Bay region, Tony has had previous community experience within the charity and education sectors in that region.

    Warren Salisbury is Acting Chief Executive, and is based in Wellington. Warren joined NZ Lotteries in 1995. Prior to this, Warren worked at Barclays Bank and Deloittes.

  • Karen Jones

    Karen Jones is Head of Communications and Government Relations and is based in Wellington. Karen joined NZ Lotteries in 2007, having previously worked as Communications Manager for the State Services Commission and the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand, and as a senior press secretary at Parliament. Karen has a BA (Hons) from Victoria University.

  • Evan Lawrey

    Evan Lawrey is Chief Technology Officer and is based in Auckland. Evan spent nine years working in the fast moving goods sector in sales and marketing roles for Griffins Foods and Tip Top Ice Cream before joining NZ Lotteries in 2002. A graduate of the University of Auckland, Evan was a finalist for the 2006 Marketer of the Year. Evan previously held the roles of Head of Marketing and then General Manager Interactive at NZ Lotteries before moving to his current position.

  • Chris Lyman

    Chris Lyman is General Manager Retail Sales and is based in Auckland. Chris, who is originally from the United Kingdom, moved to New Zealand in 2002 and joined NZ Lotteries, becoming General Manager Retail Sales in 2005. In the UK, Chris worked for a number of leading retailers including the Dickson’s Store Group.

  • Wendy Rayner

    Wendy Rayner is Head of Marketing and is based in Auckland. Wendy joined NZ Lotteries in 2003 as Marketing Manager Lottery Games after working for TVNZ for nine years in a variety of sales and marketing roles. Her extensive business background also includes accountancy and advertising agency experience. In 2006, Wendy became the Head of Marketing at NZ Lotteries. Wendy has sat on the Manukau Institute of Technology’s Business Faculty Board, and currently sits on the Epworth retreat and Health navigator NZ Boards. Wendy holds an Advanced Diploma and is working toward completion of her Masters Degree in Business.
