Saturday’s spinner, Zoe West from Christchurch spun and won $175,000 on the Winning Wheel.
“Spinning the Winning Wheel is the chance of a lifetime for any Lotto player so anyone who bought a Lotto ticket from any of the above stores should get it checked right away,” says Mr McLeay.
“Winning tickets are identified by the serial number which is located directly beneath each ticket’s Lotto lines in the space marked “Winning Wheel Number,” says Mr McLeay.
Mr McLeay says that since the Winning Wheel was first spun on Saturday’s live Lotto draw in August 2004, Lotto players from all over New Zealand have claimed their prize and spun and won. There have been 13 winners who have walked away with $1 million in cash. The average prize value on the wheel is $221,227.
Winners – who come to the Capital with a support person and get to stay at the luxury Duxton Hotel, have exhibition passes to Te Papa, a shopping trip with a stylist to choose clothes for their TV appearance and a lunch date with a Lotto presenter - have said the trip to Wellington to spin the Winning Wheel has become a once-in-a-lifetime memory.
Players can check their ticket by going to any Lottery outlet, or at www.mylotto.co.nz.
