Public servant Deirdre was joined by her son Brent who travelled down from Auckland to be with her at the live draw at Avalon studios in Wellington.
With this win, the 58-year-old Deirdre can now spend more time enjoying her diverse hobbies – watching sport, knitting and playing video games and Wi!
As part of the Winning Wheel prize package, Deirdre and Brent enjoyed a luxury stay at the Duxton Hotel in Wellington, a shopping trip with a stylist for an outfit to wear on the show, and lunch with Lotto presenter Steph Reid.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Bethlehem Four Square & Lotto in Tauranga. The serial number is 657-20764714-20XX.
“Anyone who bought a ticket at this retailer should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible,” Mr McLeay says.
