Lotto First Division Shared By Two Players From North and South

22 March 2010

Lotto First Division has just been won in Auckland and Nelson, with each player taking home a $500,00 share of the top prize, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The winning tickets were sold at Valentines Stationers in North Shore City in Auckland and Milton Street Store in Nelson.

Powerball First Division was not struck tonight, so the jackpot for next weekend will be worth an estimated $6.5 million.

Meanwhile, a Strike Four prize of $ 578,290 was won by a player who purchased their ticket from Pioneer New World in Palmerston North.

Tonight’s other big winner was Nelson minister, Misinale Tokelau, who won a $100,000 home upgrade prize on Lotto’s Winning Wheel.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Tamatea Pak N Save in Napier. The serial number is 664-24163341-20XX.

“Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any NZ Lotteries outlet."

“Tonight we are also celebrating the start of Lotto’s 100 Giant Nest Eggs for Easter promotion. All players who purchase a Lotto Triple Dip between Sunday 21 March and 7pm, Saturday 3 April 2010 are in with a chance to win one of 100 extra Easter prizes worth a total of $2 million,” Mr McLeay says.
