“When I scratched the ticket I got a real shock when it revealed that I had won the MINI. I had to check the ticket again and again.
“When I found out, I called my daughter who came round straight away to also check it,” says the overwhelmed winner.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, is a regular Instant Kiwi player and purchased his winning ticket from Price Cutter Four Square in Raetihi.
“Normally on my birthday I go out for some pig hunting, but this time the family came round to celebrate.
“I’m usually not a big drinker, but I had to have a few beers to celebrate,” says the happy winner.
“The grand kids are already arguing who will get to ride in it first!”
