Julia is 48yrs and lives in Pukekohe – she’s been with her partner Brian for 22 years. She has a daughter and a son, and three grandchildren. Her daughter had leukaemia when she was 10 years old and received a bone marrow transplant at Starship Hospital.
She works as a self employed cleaner (does nightshifts) and Brian is a machine operator for Steel & Tube. Julia’s enjoys coaching netball and watching her son and the grandchildren play cricket in summer, and going to the gym - has been a body sculptor too.
On Julia's wishlist is a trip to England. Julia has been playing Lotto every week for almost 25 years and picks her own numbers - this is her first big win, and she's very happy about it!
In this video, we also visit Lottery grant recipient, the Child Cancer Foundation - a national organisation that provides practical and emotional support to children with cancer, and their families.
